In this section you can find my photographic work; my favourite form of visual art. When I started to love it, digital photography did not exist so I use to develop and print my B&W films rolls by myself. It was so exciting spending hours and hours under the red light. Trying different papers, different expositions, different tricks, experimenting to make pictures look their best. The strong smell of the chemicals, the pictures slowly appearing under the develop liquid, washing the pictures under the water. All of these are really good memories beside they gave me the opportunity to learn more in depth the magic (and the science of course) of photography.
Now the digital era has come, in my opinion this is a great thing. I love playing with pictures, with all the different way of editing, I have so many different choices that sometimes it is easy to get lost but, thanks to my dark room background, I have developed a good critical sense that gives me the skills to decide whether a shot is good or not. Moreover I think approaching digital photography with film in mind makes you one step ahead from those who started straight away with digital. Please do not get me wrong I am not saying that photographers without film background are worse than others. At the end it is all about taste, aesthetic and creativity; these are the good ingredients beside a good knowledge of the tools (camera, lens, light etc.) to make a good shot.
All the pictures shown in this section are mine and those in B&W are printed in the dark room except if it is written "digital".
The photography is the art to enclose your sight in a frame.
